What accounting for a GmbH in Switzerland really costs
“How much does accounting cost?” is the most frequent question — and the haziest answer on the fiduciary market. Let’s set the record straight.
The traditional model: the hourly rate
The classic trust company bills by the hour, typically CHF 150–300/h, administrative time included. The problem is not only the price: it is the unpredictability. You don’t know what you will spend until the invoice arrives, and every email, phone call or manual reconciliation is billable time.
The cost of basic accounting in Switzerland, according to the market, currently sits between CHF 100 and 700/month depending on the legal form and volumes.
The flat-fee model
The flat fee turns the logic around: you pay a known monthly amount, not the hours. With us from CHF 125/month for the Starter plan. The difference is made by automation: AI systems pre-record documents, reconcile bank transactions and prepare drafts; a qualified accountant verifies, corrects and signs off.
Why does it work economically? Because the human time per client drops below the critical threshold — automatic pre-recording, reconciliations, draft filings — while the final human review always remains included. The AI never signs off on its own.
What affects the price
- Number of transactions and documents per month.
- VAT regime (exemption, quarterly, monthly).
- Payroll: employees and cross-border commuters.
- Complexity: multi-entity, consolidation, currencies, crypto.
That is why there are three plans — Starter, Growth, Scale — that scale with volumes, always with a written quote.
The honest comparison
| Traditional trust company | SIH ONE | |
|---|---|---|
| Model | CHF 150–300/hour | Flat fee from CHF 125/month |
| Predictability | Low | High |
| Updating | Often at year-end | Always |
| Human review | Yes | Yes (included) |
It is not a fire sale: our CHF 125 is below the market benchmark without being suicidal. The real value is the vertical depth — when you need tax advice, crypto or a funding round, you already have everything in house.
